Creo acquires ScenicSoft
GRAPHICS TECHNOLOGY VENDOR Creo this week announced plans to acquire ScenicSoft, a maker of publishing and printing software. The deal, valued at approximately $9.5 million, will give Creo access to ScenicSoft’s page layout software and a customer base of more than 20,000, according to Creo officials in Vancouver, British Columbia. The move also will aid Creo’s Networked Graphic Production Initiative, which is designed to integrate all aspects of print production, from concept to final delivery. Creo’s other product lines include image capture systems, inkjet proofers, thermal imaging devices for films, and workflow management software.
