Telelogic ships tools for advanced systems, real-time software
TELELOGIC ON MONDAY plans to release two Unified Modeling Language (UML) tools as part of the company’s Tau Generation2 tools family, Tau/Architect and Tau/Developer. The tools are intended for development of advanced systems and real-time software, according to the company. Tau/Developer automatically generates complete applications from a graphical model and is suited for software engineers who design and develop real-time software, Telelogic said. Tau/Achitect is intended for system engineers who want to model large and complex systems using an industry-accepted visual language. The tools include some features of the proposed 2.0 revision of UML, which contains support for specifying architectures and component-based development, according to Telelogic.
