ACT raises curtain on e-mail client

ACT SOFTWARE ROLLED out the newest version of its contact management Tuesday featuring a new e-mail client with advanced integration to Microsoft Outlook. Users can use Version 6.0 e-mail as a standalone client or integrate with and view Outlook, Outlook Express, Internet Mail, and Lotus Notes e-mail folders from within ACT, according to company officials. In addition, from within ACT users can set up multiple accounts and view them all and send and receive HTML e-mail. Users also can instantly add new contacts to any ACT database and access both ACT and Outlook address books, regardless of the application in use. The new version also features Excel integration to allow users to map fields from their database to fields in Excel for simple quoting. Users can also look up recent contact activity to uncover recent contacts as well as those which have not been sought during a specific time.
