Manugistics looks to Cognos for BI
MANUGISTICS ANNOUNCED TUESDAY that it will integrate business intelligence software from Cognos into its product line to enhance enterprise visibility into supply-chain operations. Under the agreement, Manugistics will fold the reporting and analysis components of Cognos Series 7 with its supply-chain management, revenue optimization, supplier relationship management, and service management products. The new combined solution is designed to provide real-time business and customer insight spanning data warehouses and operational sources to users within and beyond enterprise walls. Furthermore, Cognos BI will be embedded in Manugistics’ NetWORKS ONEview, which is designed to enable operational monitoring and performance measurement, providing a multi-dimensional view of business data and analytical support. As a result, users can be alerted when action is required because of a variation from a desired metric.
