Zend updating PHP development environment
PHP DEVELOPMENT TOOLS maker Zend Technologies, of Ramat Gan, Israel, plans early next month to ship Zend Studio 2.6, an upgraded version of its IDE for PHP development, according to Doron Gerstel, co-founder, CEO, and president of the company. Features of the IDE include context-sensitive editing, code compilation, project and function inspectors, CVS integration, and debugging, including remote client-server debugging. A reference library for PHP also is included. “The main intention is to allow the PHP developer to use a sophisticated development tool in order to speed up development times and improve quality,” Gerstel said. Version 2.6 will cost $249 per developer. Zend Studio has supported development on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.
