Catalyst upgrades software build process tool

CATALYST SYSTEMS THIS week announced availability of Openmake Version 6.0, a tool to automate application development by implementing a standard software build process. Featuring a rules engine and knowledgebase server, Openmake enables enterprises to align the development of production software with business processes, according to the company. Developers do not have to script makefile process and can instead focus on writing code. The knowledgebase features more than 2,000 standard build types and rules to provide control over a majority of popular development environments. Centralized control of Openmake’s distributed system is enabled via a browser-based interface.
